Next week is Remembrance Day, when we think about the people who served the country in times of war. If you look back in your family tree you might find someone who fought in a war maybe a long time ago or maybe more recently. Sarah had a look at the experiences of her grandfather and found out what Remembrance Day is all about.

All sports have rules to make competition fair. And in the Paralympics there are even more rules to make sure people with similar disabilities match up against each other. But as Tash reports a group of scientists are coming up with new ways to test disability with the aim of making the Paralympics fairer.

Hi Level 4’s,
As you know we are about to embark on our Breakfast Cereal Media Project. I hope you have been thinking of new and unique breakfast cereal names. I will be giving you the project outline and informing you of your groups on Wednesday. Unfortunately, time is limited to complete this project which means you will need to be really organised, focussed and consistently on task. Prior to Wednesday, you may like to do some mini market research – asking parents, siblings and friends what they would like in a new breakfast cereal.
Please bring in any empty cereal boxes you may have at home.
I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday and getting started on this exciting project!
Mrs. Claxton.
I have just finished reading a book called Specky Magee. It’s the first book in the series and it’s very interesting. It’s about a boy called Specky. He is a footy fanatic! He is the best full forward in the his footy league. But one thing confuses Specky. Its that no one in his family who likes footy. The rest of the family absolutely hates football! He looks for answers which might not be the right thing to do. I give this book a 9/10!
What other books do you like?
What score do you give it?

This week we have been working on writing a short story using a topic. Our topic was something special we have lost. It didn’t have to be real. We all worked very hard on these and we hope you enjoy them.
